OUR STORY
D.G.A.P
Doing Good Among People, Inc. (also known within communities as D.G.A.P.) is a registered domestic 501c3 nonprofit corporation which effectively curates community-based projects
throughout the metropolitan Atlanta area in partnership with government officials, small businesses, and larger corporate sponsors. D.G.A.P.’s programmatic efforts focus heavily on addressing the recurring needs of youth, senior citizens, single parents, and the community at-large.
PROGRAMMATIC EFFORTS
According to the U.S. Census Bureau1, almost 21% of residents in the city of Atlanta live at or
below the poverty line. Doing Good Among People, Inc understands what this means to vulnerable
populations – they will incur challenges meeting some of life’s daily basic needs. D.G.A.P. works
consistently to close these gaps for youth, senior citizens, and single parents to better position them
to live wholly and with dignity. Below are highlights of some of Doing Good Among People,
Inc’s ongoing programs:

Annual Back to School Bash – 2500+ students (over 11 years) located primarily in

Southeast and Southwest APS clusters have been provided with backpacks, school supplies, clothing, and haircuts as they prepare for Day 1 of the upcoming school year

Diaper pantry which provides diapers to both single mothers and fathers

A Hand Up Closet – provides clothing to single parents in need of professional wear to
pursue and/or retain employment
